This summer I have found a new love! I know, it’s the best feeling in the world. What is this new love I hear you ask… MAKE UP!!!
I have recently splashed out on many new products which I will be doing separate posts about in the coming weeks. Stay tunes guysss 😀
NYX cosmetics had only become available in the UK in the last few months. So as you can imagine, I was VERY excited and got a few different products to try out!
I picked up the following six items:
Mousse liner in epic black
Illuminator in ritualistic
Wonder sick in universal
Liquid suede cream lipstick in shade LSCL 12
Baked blush + illuminator + bronzer in shade BBL10 Ladylike
Matte finish setting spray
Honestly guys, I am completely in love with each and every one of these products. I am new to all this make up business, and these products were honestly the best things for me to start with and explore what I can do with make up.
I have always wanted to be able to contour my face but at the same time, not make it look so defined. I have watched an endless amount of YouTube tutorials and tried my best in the past. Using the wonder stick was so simple and allowed me to achieve exactly what I wanted! I contoured ad highlighted perfectly! However, I still haven’t quite worked out how to contour my nose. I have a rather unusual nose, so if anyone knows how to make it looks shorter and smaller… PLEASE TELL ME HOW! THANKSSS!
Every since I was about 16 I have been obsessed with eyeliner and ca not live without it. Over the years I have tried many and found many I love and some that I just don’t! People always go on about gel liners and how they are the best thing since slices bread. Now is it just me or does anyone else struggle with gels? I have tried many from Rimmel to Maybelline to Bobbi Brown. None of these could win me over. The NYX liner however is just amaaaaazing! It gave me the perfect darkness I was looking for and was so soft and easy to use. I’m finally happy!
A friend of mine did my make up for me a few weeks ago and told me I had to invest in a highlighter/illuminator. Now, since I didn’t actually know what to do with an illuminator I thought I would go for something fairly cheap. This was was about £10, maybe less and I love the shade and the pigmentation of the powder is divine.
I applied the blush with my brush at first but felt it didn’t give me the intensity I was going for, leaving me very disappointed. However, when I applied with my beauty blender the colour of the blusher was beautiful. So now I know, use the blender not the brush.
Matte lip cream are all over the place now, with everyone wanting that perfect matte finish like Kylie Jenner. I am also one of them (and proud). This time though, I went for the Liquid Suede, which isn’t quite matte and made my lips look so plump and perfect, if i do say so myself. The only issue I have with this product is that the applicator is quite long and so its hard to apply if you don’t have a really steady hand. it had to really concentrate and apply this and found it rather difficult.
The look was finished off with a matte finish setting spray, which didn’t burn my eyes! Thumbs up for that! It held my make up perfectly the whole day!
Here are few pictures of the finished look. I am only an amateur so I don’t look perfect, but I was impressed with the outcome!
I went for the turban hijab style with a grey jersey hijab teamed with these gorgeous studs from Accessorize. LOVE LOVE LOVE ITTT!
